Reducing use of agency staff: effective rostering

On demand
New rules aimed at reducing the amount of money spent on agency staff in the NHS came into force on 23 November 2015.

As part of a wider package of support to help NHS and foundation trusts manage the move to reduced spend on agency staff, Monitor and the TDA are jointly hosting a webinar on Friday 19 February at 12.30pm.

Lyn McIntyre, senior nurse adviser on workforce efficiency at the Department of Health, joins us for this webinar.

Part of a series of webinars to support you in reducing spend on agency staff, during this practical webinar, we will:
  • look at the findings of the Carter review around rostering
  • discuss the principles of efficient rostering, including e-rostering
  • demonstrate how efficient rostering can help to reduce agency spend, staff turnover, and can increase staff satisfaction

There will also be a chance to ask questions.

Who should attend?
  • matrons
  • ward leaders or equivalent
  • those writing and/or agreeing rosters
