I enjoy attending the Melcrum Summit each year. For me it’s stepping over to the other side (from my world of external marketing over to internal communications) and seeing what matters for Internal Communicators and of course to see how WorkCast’s Online Event Platform can make their lives easier and offer more effective communications.

Challenges for Internal Communications

From speaking to visitors to our stand this year, there’s been a common theme of conversation coming up. Internal Communicators are challenged with reaching out to dispersed employees and have access to plenty of tools and technology (often stipulated by their tech teams or central resource), but clearly have a need to simplify their resources - less tools, more streamlined communications! And rightly so, they have enough of a challenge with getting their messaging right without a technology challenge on top.

One Senior Internal Communications executive from a financial institution told me he’s not sure who he uses for his webinars or webcasts and whether they do virtual events, the internal communications team just sends the content to a central resource team and it ‘happens’ - “they’re the magicians”.

That’s great right? But what if Internal Communications teams are missing out on the power of webinars, webcasting and virtual events for online events, and hamstrung by resorting to web conferencing or restricted to email marketing and newsletters?

An Effective Solution

Webcasting platforms such as WorkCast will integrate with many of your existing marketing and communication platforms, we understand the security needed and work in partnership with many corporate IT teams to ensure there’s a seamless integration and comfort introducing the Platform.

Online event platforms can create channels for you to store your video and presentation content, enable you to access data to see how engaged your workforce is by seeing who viewed what and for how long, and to get answers to polls and surveys you may have pushed out throughout the online event.

Our upcoming Internal Communicator’s Guide to Online Events will provide all the information, tips and opportunities you need. Armed with this knowledge, you’ll be able to work closer with your internal resource and create visually stimulating messages for a more engaged workforce.
