Thursday, June 25 | 12 p.m. ET/ 11 a.m. CT

Available On Demand

Facing an increasing demand on Drinking Water versus groundwater, the San Benito County Water District, in a joint effort with Sunnyslope County Water District, turned to local reservoirs as alternative sources to reduce the impact on the local groundwater basins as well as the hardness and scaling challenges that are common with groundwater. The culmination of efforts led to the construction of the 4.5 MGD West Hills Water Treatment Plant (WHWTP) to include ACTIFLO® Carb. This presentation will focus on the project history, its drivers, and the operational aspects of how this alternative approach has helped to successfully meet the District's goals.

What viewers will learn:

- How to reduce the impact on your groundwater

- How to treat varying raw water sources and blends

- How to reduce TOC without GAC filters

- How to meet DBPs with Ballasted Flocculation and PAC
