OVERVIEW
This series is to introduce the EN approach on the use of concrete for sustainability construction. This replaces the former approach based on British standards in early 2000.Since then several updates and additional supporting EN standards have been added to BS EN206. Types of concrete – designed concrete, prescribed concrete, designated concrete and proprietary concrete
Constituents of concrete – cement, water, aggregates, admixtures, additions and fibres.
Strength development and curing classes
Consistence classes and test methods including SCC
Strength classes – characteristic strength test specimens: cylinder vs cube
