What should the future of outpatient care look like?

On Demand

In 2018, the Royal College of Physicians declared the traditional model of outpatient care as “no longer fit for purpose”. But the covid-19 pandemic has given a greater urgency to the need to make changes to this setup. There is now an even greater need to avoid patients visiting hospitals unless absolutely crucial, and even stronger arguments for trying to deliver care in alternative settings.

So what should the future of outpatient care look like? How will it be delivered? What will need to change and what should stay constant? And how can we ensure that GPs are supported to make the right referrals at the right time?

This HSJ webinar, run in association with Vantage Health, will bring together a small panel to discuss these issues.
