On 28 January 2021, the LMA published exposure drafts of two multicurrency facility term and revolving facilities agreements incorporating backward-looking compounded rates and forward-looking interbank term rates (the "Multicurrency Compounded Rate/Term Rate Facilities Agreements"). The Multicurrency Compounded Rate/Term Rate Facilities Agreements are based on the existing exposure draft rate switch agreements and provide a structure for multicurrency syndicated loans using both forward-looking interbank term rates (i.e. IBORs) and backward-looking compounded RFRs for the calculation of interest for different currencies. This webinar, presented by Katie Hoyle, Knowledge Director at Clifford Chance, provides an introduction to the Multicurrency Compounded Rate/Term Rate Facilities Agreements. In addition to this webinar, viewers should also refer to the Commentary to the Multicurrency Compounded Rate/Term Rate Facilities Agreements, available on the LMA website.
