Malware, in their many forms that include such traditional attacks as viruses, spyware, rootkits, logic bombs, backdoors, and today’s media favorite, ransomware, has been with us in some form or another since the late 1980s. All of these attacks have one common component: they begin with social engineering.

We’ll be hearing from several experts from KnowBe4 who will address different aspects of this ongoing battle with malware. Kevin Mitnick, the world's most famous hacker and KnowBe4's Chief Hacking Officer, along with Perry Carpenter, KnowBe4’s Chief Evangelist and Strategy Officer, will look at the mechanics of social engineering — how it works and why, along with common ways malicious actors find information to use for their attacks.

Next we’ll hear from Roger A. Grimes, KnowBe4's Data-Driven Defense Evangelist, who will explore 10 ways hackers use social engineering to trick your users into revealing sensitive data or enabling malicious code to run.

Finally we’ll hear from Erich Kron, KnowBe4's Security Awareness Advocate, and Tory Dombrowski, IT Manager at Takeform, who will take a dive deep into sharing best practices and creative ideas so you know what to expect when executing your own security awareness training program.

Join us on June 18 for this Best-Of Virtual Conference to hear a selection of KnowBe4’s ground-breaking programs in partnership with SC Media.
