The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the value of industry and NHS collaboration like never before. In seeking to learn from the crisis and the way in which stakeholders have come together to tackle the virus whilst also maintaining patient care, there are key lessons we can take and adopt in our future ways of working.
In many ways we have seen the NHS at its best, and its flexibility to adopt innovation in times of absolute need. Nowhere has this been more evident than in stroke services which have changed rapidly, through their use of digital solutions and the exploration of artificial intelligence technologies. The challenge now will be to continue adopting effective interventions at pace and scale and sustain the innovations rapidly adopted over recent months so that we firmly reset our ways of working and do not slip back into old habits.
As we look to redefine stroke services, this ABHI and AHSN Network webinar will explore how we can best sustain industry collaboration as we live with and beyond COVID-19. The webinar will be chaired by Professor Gary Ford CBE (CEO, Oxford AHSN) and joined by speakers who will provide tangible examples of successful pathway changes adopted during the pandemic and discuss the critical enablers for change.
