Cloud is ubiquitous in today’s digital, data-driven world and has tremendous potential to transform high performance computing (HPC). Fortunately for the HPC community, rather than trying to fit their unique requirements into existing cloud platforms, the commercial cloud is responding to their emerging needs. The convergence of HPC, artificial intelligence/machine learning coupled with increasing demand for computational resources and more rapid technology evolution, creates challenges for the community. Commercial clouds are not the answer but will be a critical component of the landscape that addresses this transformation.
Join GDIT for a digital webcast exploring cloud’s capability to run HPC workloads. We’ll discuss not only the accompanying operational issues, but also the longer term financial implications of cloud adoption.
