Overview

In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, the healthcare industry has been forced to embrace this new normal by adjusting both its mindset and its messaging in order to stay connected with patients and engaged with HCPs. In addition to anticipating patients’ constantly emerging needs, industry experts must also find ways to engage with patients and HCPs remotely, yet authentically, by adopting solutions and innovations that cater toward more personalized and pre-emptive types of care and treatment. Whether through an increase in technology or by finding ways to forge new and creative partnerships, healthcare companies must do all they can to make sure they are meeting patients’ needs post-pandemic,or risk being ousted by the growing threat posed by nontraditional healthcare players.

During this event, among the topics discussed will be:

  • AI in the era of COVID-19: For the last few years, pharma marketers have approached the techniques grouped under the banner of AI with caution bordering on trepidation. Will the pandemic go down as the event that either emboldened them or forced their hand?
  • At the start of the year, point-of-care real estate was viewed by marketers as among the industry’s most valuable. But with physical points of care either limited or shut down entirely - the waiting room is, in many cases, the patient’s car - POC players have adapted their offerings to the COVID-19 landscape.
  • Prior to the pandemic, pharma reps faced decreasing access to HCPs. During it, they found themselves with almost no direct access whatsoever. Have virtual HCP details and the full slate of non-personal promotion tactics filled the void?
