Peak Trading 2018 


It's almost that time of the year again. The fashion industry is relentlessly prepping for peak and the most innovative and customer-aligned brands will be soaring ahead.

Poq has examined over 30m sessions during last year's peak trading period (Q4 2017), looking specifically at fashion retail apps on the Poq platform to bring you the App Commerce Peak Trading Report. This report gives an in-depth analysis of how consumers are choosing to spend on their favourite brands during the peak period. It reports on the exact days that are better for conversion, which channels experience the most revenue and reveals the fluctuations in shopping app downloads.

This is the most essential report for fashion brands preparing for the busiest time of the year. Some key findings from last year are:


  • On average, app revenue as a percentage of mobile grew 2.2x to account for 22% of mobile revenue on Black Friday
  • Q4 accounted for a third of total app revenue in 2017
  • November app revenues grew by 134% year-over-year
  • Shoppers spent on average, 3.6x more in shopping apps than on retail mobile websites.
