COVID-19 Update: Protecting Senior Health

COVID-19 is deadly and virulent, especially for seniors. Drs. Monsen and Castner will provide up-to-the-minute information about the pandemic and its impact, and discuss evidence-based ways to protect seniors from serious harm. We also will discuss telehealth solutions as part of a broad approach to the problem.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Describe COVID-19’s actual and potential effects on senior health across living environments
  • Analyze health system impact of COVID-19 and ways to decrease health system impact
  • Discuss need to seek telehealth or traditional health care services relative to COVID-19 signs and symptoms
  • Relate ways to help seniors develop a personal plan, now and for the long term
