Revalidation: Nursing Demands Evidence
On-demand
Need support with your nursing revalidation with the NHS?
Revalidation is the new process that all nurses and midwives in the UK will need to follow to maintain their registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Taking effect from April 2016, revalidation helps Nurses and Midwives demonstrate they practise safely and effectively. It encourages Nurses to reflect on the role of the Code in their practice and demonstrate that they are 'living' the standards set out within it.
This short webinar looks at the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) themes, demonstrating how a resource like The Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures, 9th edition online supports each theme of the code and how it can be used as an example to help complete the revalidation process.
The webinar will cover individual case studies and scenarios which support each aspect of the code:
- Prioritising People
- Practise Effectively
- Preserve Safety
- Promote Professionalism and Trust
Presenters include the editors of The Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures, who have many years of practical experience in nursing, and supported by case studies given by librarians who support NHS practitioners, this presentation provides invaluable information and suggestions for all nurses engaged with revalidation.
If you are a nurse embarking on the program within the NHS, or a librarian who supports nurses with access to evidence based resources, please make sure to attend, as it will prove informative.
