Optimisation of IETS Operation and Compliance to Environmental Quality Act 1974

Date: 11 June 2021, Friday

Time: 9:30am - 11:30am

All premises that release industrial effluent into soil or inland waters are required to treat and ensure the effluent being discharged meets the parameters defined in Environmental Quality (Industrial Effluents) Regulations 2009. The operation of industrial effluent treatment systems often presents various challenges to operators. Effective removal of contaminants in effluent requires continuous monitoring and technical knowledge in both operation and testing.

In conjunction with World Environment Day, Geo Alam, in collaboration with Jabatan Alam Sekitar Negeri Perak, has invited two experienced industry practitioners to share a refresher on the requirements of Environmental Quality (Industrial Effluents) Regulations 2009 and how industries can achieve regulatory compliance while maintaining an efficient, cost-optimised operation.
