Highlighting the Power of CRISPRa/i
for Gene Expression Profiling

December 11, 2019
8:00 am PT, 11:00 am ET, 17:00 CET

Gene editing has taken the scientific community by storm and captured the imagination of many intrepid molecular biologists. Not long after some of the initial CRISPR work was completed and investigators saw the potential this system had for repairing gene mutations that lead to disease, many began to ponder how to adapt this gene-editing platform to regulate gene expression levels as well. Now, this so-called CRISPR activation/ interference (CRISPRa/i) technique is rapidly becoming an invaluable tool for studying transcriptional regulation and functional genomic screening.

In this GEN webinar, we will highlight how a toolbox of modified CRISPR systems is enabling scientists to turn gene expression on (CRISPRa) and off (CRISPRi). Moreover, we will also discuss how a CRISPRa/i functional genomics platform reveals genes that drive complex biological phenotypes. Finally, we will learn about some of the latest CRISPRa/i tools and reagents and how they are facilitating investigators in their gene editing endeavors.

A live Q&A session will follow the presentations, offering you a chance to pose questions to our expert panelists.
