Racial inequality has been a key topic of discussion over the past few weeks, as Black Lives Matter protests have swept the globe and a Public Health England report showed that those from an ethnic minority face a higher mortality rate from COVID-19. It has become increasingly apparent that pharmacy teams, especially those from black and minority ethnic (BAME) groups, are facing discrimination and racial abuse on a regular basis – both from patients and their own colleagues.

We will be discussing racism in pharmacy with a panel of representatives from across the sector to talk about this important issue.

This webinar will highlight:

  • Racism issues currently being faced by pharmacy teams
  • Which pharmacy team members are most at risk of encountering racism
  • Where pharmacy teams can seek support
  • Strategies that could be implemented to improve the working environment for BAME pharmacy professionals
